BP to announce a return to Libya |
| Home | (BBC News) - Oil giant BP is set to announce that it has struck a deal to return to Libya after an absence of more than 30 years. "There is a natural gas exploration deal worth $900m (£453m)," Shokri Ghanem, the chairman of the state-owned National Oil Corporation said. The statement confirmed comments from Prime Minister Tony Blair's spokesman. An announcement is expected during Mr Blair's visit to the capital, Tripoli. |
