(CBC News) - A diverse committee charged with finding ways to better manage Alberta's oilsands has agreed on nearly 100 recommendations, but the members couldn't decide on what to do about the pace of oilsands development. "It's a big step," said Vance MacNichol, chair of the oilsands consultation committee on Wednesday. "The vision and the principles, we had consensus on that and full agreement. When we get down into how we are going to do things, there was some differences, but we got a great start, we got everybody around the table." Link |
